And like THAT!, our winter’s rest is over and the farm has come alive again.  Here’s a little bit of what’s been filling our days in recent weeks.  We have lots of things in store for the blog this season, so come visit often!

Lisa, We always enjoyed visiting your stand last year at St Stephens. I am wondering, will you be bringing any little tomato plants to the market in early May? I am looking for cherry or grape tomatoes. Many thanks!

Hi Molly! Yup! We’ll be bringing Sun Sugar (a DELICIOUS orange cherry tomato), Super Sweet 100 (a sweet red cherry tomato), and one called Red Pear (new for us this year). I think they’ll all be ready by the first market … which, holy smokes, is in just over a week!

Wonderful, thank you! I’ll see you at the market then.

Lisa, we met last summer in Sylva, N.C. when you visited your folks and came down to the farmers market. Dropped in to say hello – your site looks great, the farm looks super, the kid is cute as hell, and here’s to a fantastic growing season for us all! Best, Quintin and Kelley at Balltown Bee Farm in Bryson City, N.C.

Awww, man, thanks!!! Best to y’all too. I sure would love some of your honey — we just finished off a 5-pound jar from a farm not too far from us. Ultimately I’d love to put in some of our own hives. Maybe during a visit to my folks we could come see your place?

My mom often reads your updates to me over the phone. I’m so glad they’ve moved somewhere with people like y’all.
